Must Do’s in Naples, Florida

Hi beautiful people! I just returned to Boston from a weeklong vacation to Naples, Florida where I enjoyed warm, sunny days, good food, and good company! I was lucky enough to sneak in a little poolside yoga (and record a flow that I’ll put up on YouTube!) as well as do some really fun things.

While I am far from a travel blogger, I wanted to show you guys some of the cool spots I hit. I stayed at my aunt and uncle’s house, which was equipped with a pool, hot tub, and personal chef (a.k.a. my uncle, hehe), so there wasn’t all that much need to leave the house – but I did manage to hit a few super cool spots that you should definitely check out if you’re ever in the area!

Must Do’s in Naples

  • Jane’s Garden Café on 3rd – if you like to brunch (which, like, duh, doesn’t everybody?), this is the place to go! Outdoor seating and it serves brekkie all day. If it’s not too crowded, try and get a seat by the fountain, where you can watch the koi fish!
PLUS look how fancy these lemonades are! So fun.
  • Bravo Cucina Italiana @ the Mercato – awesome food with indoor and outdoor seating and a bar. While you’re there, the Mercato has everything you need to stay entertained for days. Restaurants galore, shops on shops on shops, and a movie theater that’s to die for! (My best friend and I saw 50 Shades Darker, also 10/10 would recommend).
This is the roasted turkey and bacon sandwich with tomato, arugula, green onion mayo, and avocado aioli *heart eyes emoji*
  • Sub Zero Ice Cream – this was  the coolest ice cream place (made better by the fact that I could get almond milk based ice cream, as I’ve been avoiding dairy). You get to choose a cream (so you can get regular or lactose-free, low-fat, etc.) and then choose a flavor and as many mix-in toppings as you want. As if that isn’t cool enough, they then make the ice cream right in front of you using liquid nitrogen!
  • Sunset – obviously this isn’t exclusive to Naples, but watching the sunset at Vanderbilt Beach is a sight to behold. There’s something so beautiful about that sun disappearing beneath the horizon, signifying the end of a day and the pathway to a new beginning.

Besides that, there was a lot of sun, sand, and relaaaaaxing. It’s always so nice to get out of your regular routine and switch things up. Something about that change of pace really inspires me creatively! I think when we’re so caught up in our day to day lives (full of boring chores and the same old commute), it’s easy to lose that creative spark. Traveling (whether it’s just a weekend close by or a week farther away) always seems to reignite my creativity and inspire me to no end!

Hat from my fav, Life is Good – shop here!

I hope you guys all get a change to visit this amazing place (I’ll definitely be coming back!). And if not, try and see if you can squeeze in just a weekend getaway, even if it’s to somewhere in your own state! Just getting out of your everyday routine can be so refreshing.
