My Favorite Smoothie & Protein Balls

Maca is an adaptogen and supplement that can be added to your diet for increased energy, mental clarity, libido, fertility, etc. It is super easy to add to smoothies and other treats!

Berry Banana Breakfast Smoothie

Blend together:

  • Handful mixed frozen berries (I like strawberries/raspberries/blueberries)
  • 1 banana
  • 1 T nut butter (I like peanut butter)
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp maca powder (optional)
  • Milk (I like almond or oat milk) – I pour enough to almost cover the other ingredients. You can adjust based on your desired thickness.

Triple Chocolate Protein Balls w/ Maca

In a bowl, mix together:

  • 1 1/4 c rolled oats
  • 1/4 c nut butter (I use peanut butter)
  • 1/4 c chocolate chips
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
  • 1 T chia seeds
  • 1 T cacao powder
  • 1 T maca powder
  • 2 T maple syrup
  • 2 T milk (I like oat or almond)

Once combined, use clean hands to roll the mixture into small balls. Recipe makes about 10. Lay balls in a single layer on a plate and refrigerate.
